After BYD, Tesla and CATL, another major new energy project!
Following Tesla, BYD, CATL and other companies, Supmea's process automation solutions have been applied to another major new energy material construction project - the "50,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode material project per year". The first phase of the project has been put into operation.
Mr.Gao, head of the Supmea Hefei office, revealed that the first phase of the project used hundreds of automated instruments including radar level meters, electromagnetic flow meters, pressure transmitters, water quality analyzers and temperature sensors, covering the entire production chain from raw material preparation, reaction process, product post-processing to wastewater treatment.
"Through the implementation of a series of automation solutions, the automation process has been promoted, which not only improves the production efficiency and product quality of the factory, realizes effective cost control, but also helps the company respond to the national call for energy conservation, emission reduction and green production." Mr.Gao said.
It is understood that with the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, lithium iron phosphate batteries have been widely used in electric vehicles, energy storage, ships, aerospace and other fields due to their high safety, long cycle life and cost advantages, and have become the preferred power battery material for many well-known car companies such as Tesla and BYD.
In 2023, Supmea reached a cooperation with Vingroup, the largest business group in Vietnam, to provide process automation solutions for the new energy battery project of its high-end automobile brand VinFast, the first lithium iron phosphate battery factory in Vietnam.
